This is not a disease, but a group of diseases that have in common hemolysis, anemia and mild jaundice. Your diagnosis is not precise enough to act effectively and the list of possible causes can help you in your search:

Hemoparasites and infections : UR14 – Babesiosis, UR15.2 – Erythrocytic anaplasmosis, N45 – T. Buffeli theleriasis, N33 – Mycoplasma weynyonii (Infection by), N47 – Tuberculosis, UR15 – Leptospirosis (frank jaundice). Acute BVD purpura may be accompanied by subicterus. Bacillary hemoglobinuria/Clostridium haemolyticum

-Liver and parasites: N437 – Hepatic steatosis, N53 – Hepatic failure (to be specified), N51 – Fascioliasis

-Toxic: N23 – Copper poisoning, TX10 – Water poisoning, N24 – Cabbage, onion, garlic poisoning, N27 – Senecio poisoning, N26 – Heliotrope europaea poisoning, tx12 – Mercury poisoning, N124 – Facial eczema or Sporidesmin poisoning, N121 – Other poisonings leading to liver failure

 

-Various causes: UR10 – Puerperal hemoglobinuria, N3 – Multiple internal abscesses, N48 – Tumor (to be specified-localized). A genetic origin in the Hereford and Murray Grey breeds.

Clinic & diagnosis

Pale to pale yellow vaginal or conjunctival mucous membranes are the key symptom; hemoglobinuria is inconsistent
